It's my first time applying to college.
Pay all tuition and fees by required dates or apply for financial aid.
Honors College applications are accepted January 1st - July 1st for all Fall admissions.
I am a high achieving high school student or transfer student. In order to be eligible for the Honor College, you should meet three of the following four criteria:
*NOTE: The Honors College is test-optional. For applicants who either did not tale the ACT/SAT or choose not to submit their scores, additional emphasis will be placed on the student’s co-curricular activities, examples of leadership and/or volunteer participation.
I’m a high school student entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 with a 3.0 or higher GPA and I want to take college classes while I am still in high school. We offer two options:
The high school must submit the parental consent form and SAT/ACT (if applicable) to the K-12 Partnerships Program Manager before the CEP registration deadline.
For English and math courses (or courses that require an English or math prerequisite), students will either need to complete the RVCC Accuplacer placement test (speak to your high school counselor about taking the test at your high school, if that option is available) or have SAT/ACT scores that meet the RVCC test score exemptions. To view SAT/ACT exemptions or to prepare for the Accuplacer, please visit the placement testing web page.
K-12 Partnerships will register eligible students for the assigned course(s) and inform the high school when students are registered. Students cannot register for Concurrent Enrollment classes on their own. The high school will receive confirmation and notify students of their registration status.
Concurrent Enrollment Program students have three options to submit payment:
Option 1: Pay using Lion’s Den
Step 1: Log onto Lion’s Den via the RVCC website using your RVCC credentials (make sure you have your cell phone for multifactor authentication)
Please contact the RVCC Help Desk at 908-526-1200 Ext. 7887 or email helpdesk@raritanval.edu if you are having issues logging onto Lion’s Den or need to reset your password.
Step 2: Click on the "Account Detail for Term" tile
Step 3: You will see details about the balance and you can click on the Pay Now icon to make a payment by credit or debit card (please be sure to pick the right term for the payment).
If you see a late fee on your account, please DO NOT pay the late fee. Concurrent Enrollment Students are not charged a late fee.
If you are having issues using Lion’s Den to make payment, please use Nelnet.
Option 2: Pay using Nelnet
Step 1: Visit https://www.raritanval.edu/paying-for-college/pay-tuition-now and click on the Student Account Payment link. Payment can be made via credit or debit card.
Step 2: Click on Student Account Payment
Option 3: Pay by Check
Once you have verified the balance via Lion’s Den, payment by check or money order can be sent as follows:
Check or money order by mail made out to RVCC, Attn: Finance Office, P.O. Box 3300, Somerville, New Jersey 08876); Please include your G Number and “CEP Tuition” on the check or money order so the payment can be applied to the right account.
Parents/Families also have the option to set up their accounts to pay CEP tuition. Click on Parents Pay Tuition Now (students must have created a Parent Account to allow parent access) to set up a parent/family account. Click on How to Create a Parent Account for details.
The CEP rate for the 2023-2024 academic year is $240 per CEP course.
The CEP tuition rate is subject to change annually.
The student/family or high school (if applicable) is responsible for the payment upon successful completion of registration. A hold will be placed on the student account and the student will not be able to register for additional CEP course(s) during the next term if payment is not received. Please check with your high school about RVCC’s CEP payment and refund deadlines.
I'm transferring from another college. If you have 12 or less college credits apply as a First Time Student.
I'm an international student planning to attend RVCC with an F1 and requesting (Form I-20) student visa.
International (F1) applicants MUST have the application and all supporting documentation for the Form I-20 submitted to International Student Services prior to the admission deadlines.
1. Review and print the International Student Packet
2. Adhere to application deadlines: Deadlines are strictly adhered to with no exceptions
Application Deadlines:
Fall Admission:
June 1 - Initial Applicant
July 1- Transfer Applicants currently holding F1 student status
Spring Admission:
November 15 - Initial Applicant
December 1 - Transfer Applicants currently holding F1 student status
For admission as an F1 status student, RVCC requires a minimum English Proficiency score requirement on either the TOEFL or IELTS test. You will not be issued the Form I-20 for RVCC without a passing score.
NOTE: All students who achieve the required TOEFL/IELTS score are still required to complete the RVCC placement test upon arrival at the College. Some developmental, supplemental ESL courses may still be required and you may enter the RVCC ESL Pathway program for English Language Studies.
